A finalist at the Sofia International Film Festival

The film brings together the stories of several people from the Rhodope town of Smolyan. Each of them shares with us their incredibly fascinating fate, filled with many emotions. Out of several thousand people living in the new center of Smolyan, four open their doors and hearts to tell more about love, the will to live, theater, and other stories.”

“There Might Be nothing in common” is a short film that was showcased at the Rhodope Film Festival before becoming part of the competition program at the International Sofia Film Festival. Directed by Svetoslav Draganov, a renowned filmmaker and educator at New Bulgarian University, this project brings together burgeoning talent and seasoned professionals.

The film marks the directorial debut of Tanya Kostadinova, with Tihomir Rachev handling the camera work. Emerging writer Kalina Nikolova crafts the film’s narration, and Veselin Zografov shares his expertise in sound.

This short film represents an exciting collaboration between experienced filmmakers and newcomers, offering a distinctive viewing experience inspired by these festivals.
